Gameplay Animator
At Nacon Studio Ghent, I am currently contributing to Hunting Simulator 3. In this role, I have developed a deeper understanding in Unreal Engine 5 animation implementation, including animation blueprinting and the requirements for an in-engine integration for animation assets. I prototyped and developed a retargeting workflow from Maya to Unreal, streamlining production and reducing workload for our many huntable animals. In close collaboration with the animation programmer, we established an animation Blueprint system that defined the behaviors and actions required for each type of animal. I developed base rigs for a range of weapon types (e.g., shotguns, bolt action rifles), laying the foundation for our pipeline, and worked closely with an outsource team to produce additional rig assets.
